DANCE COMPETITIONS
We had a very successful competition season with multiple awards in all competitions.
Destination Dance October 2023 –Special mentions to Eryn Twomey O’Sullivan and Siofra Barton who won highest overall duet/trio of the competition and ‘stand out performance’ which means their routine was the favourite routine of the weekend.
Eryn was selected as a 'Dance Idol' for the competition and Siofra won the dance off and a scholarship to London Studio Centre summer school.
Aaron Dwyer Dance Competition November 2023- Special Mention to Eryn Twomey O’Sullivan who was awarded Dancer of the Day. Second Highest Scoring Dance – Eryn Twomey O’Sulivan and Siofra Barton

Special Mention to Orlaith Deasy who won the Jazz knockout Workshop and Cian O’Dricoll who was one of the three runners up. Joshia Limansag who won the Commercial Knockout Workshop. Faye Tobin who won the Musical Theatre Knockout Workshop.
CHOIR PERFORMANCES
The choir performed in the Lord Mayor’s Gala Christmas Concert in City Hall.
The choir performed in City Hall as special guests for the Choral Festival.
The choir performed for 3 sell out nights in 'Broadway Kidz' at the Cork Arts Theatre.
JACK & THE BEANSTALK - Cork Opera House Panto
70,000 audience members saw our students perform in ‘Jack & the Beanstalk' at the Cork Opera House! We were so thrilled to have so many of our students selected!

SUMMER REVELS - Cork Opera House
The following students were succesful in their audition and delighted auidences over the summer!
Junior Ensemble:

Intermediate Ensemble:

EXAMINATIONS & PERFORMANCES
Over 1000 students participated in the I.D.T.A Dance and Musical Theatre exams in February with a 100% success rate. In addition over 90% of students achieved distinction.
We had a 100% success rate across all disciplines; drama, musical theatre, mime and speaking of verse and prose in the February & May LAMDA session.
4 days of acro-dance exams with 99 students taking exams with Acrobatic Arts and achieving a 100% pass rate.
80 singing students took exams with the prestigious London College of Music with a 100% success rate.
This year was our most successful in Feis Maitiu with winners in the drama, musical theatre and singing competitions.
Our bi-annual musical kicked off the year for us with 'Joseph and the Amazing Techicolour Dreamcoat' in the Everyman Theatre playing to packed houses and standing ovations.
Over 1000 students featured in our Christmas panto 'Red Riding Hood ’ across 22 performances in the Firkin Crane theatre.
Over 1500 students appeared over 5 shows in our annual dance and musical theatre extravaganza 'Applause' at Cork Opera House.
Our company drama students presented a full length play 'Old Times' in the Cork Arts Theatre.
Our singing students performed their our own Christmas Concert in the Montfort studio and presented 3 performances of 'A Grand Night for Singing' in the Cork Arts Theatre.
Our drama students presented their annual showcase 'Drama Fever' in the Nano Nagle Theatre and the Cork Arts Theatre.
OTHER NOTABLE HIGHLIGHTS
- Lottie O’Driscoll Murray performed in the Late Late Toy Show.
- Oliver Cummins was cast as William Frankenstein in the upcoming concert film ‘Victoria Frankenstein’.
- We were delighted to host the prestigious NYMT (National Youth Musical Theatre) who came to Cork for the first time and auditioned in our studio. We had a large number of students selected who participated in professional summer workshops in London. We also had 3 students who performed in the West End over the summer in NYMT productions; Sean Cosgrove, Rachel Lee and Samuel Palliser Kehoe.
- We had three performance slots at Perform 2024 in the RDS Dublin. We had 120 students perform from our primary, intermediate and senior musical theatre company, our primary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and senior dance classes and our junior acro company and senior acro company.
- Rose O’Leary, Mia Jones, Eliza Przygoda, Charlotte O’Herlihy, Sophia O’Herlihy, Oran Murphy, Andrew Ryan and Joshia Limansag were all part of the Cork Youth Ballet and performed in the show ‘Notre Dame de Paris'.

Our Acro Dance Company Troupe were chosen to be part of the Community Act for one of the 'Summer Revels' shows.

Our adult tappers 'The Rebel Tappers' were chosen to be part of the Community Act for one of the 'Summer Revels' shows.

Two of our singing students were chosen to perform in the Cork Proms at the Cork Opera House. Congratulations to Sadbh Murphy and Patrick O’Grady.
After fantastic dance and musical theatre exam results with the IDTA two of our students were nominated to compete in Blackpool. 500 candidates are chosen from over 7,500 across the UK and Ireland to participate in these prestigious awards.
