Director's Message
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Montfort College of Performing Arts.
Here at the Montfort College of Performing Arts we are proud to continue a teaching tradition introduced by our founder Eileen Nolan 63 years ago, which has been instrumental in the personal development of so many talented young people. Every student that joins the Montfort College is an important member of our extended family; a family that as well as offering exceptional teaching in all aspects of the performing arts, also provides support, friendship and the life skills that build confidence and help students grow into well-rounded, self-assured individuals. No matter how large or small the goal, at the Montfort College we encourage our students to believe in themselves and develop the confidence to pursue their ambitions. Taught in a understanding, fun and creative environment, the disciplines of acting, singing, musical theatre and dance bring young people together in a exciting and happy community to explore the magical world of performance.
We offer exceptional training in dance, drama, musical theatre and singing together with exciting opportunities to perform. Putting into practise the training our students learn in class is a key objective within the college. We are the only performing arts college in Munster to produce a full scale musical, a children’s pantomime, a drama production, a concert for our choir, a show for our singing department and an end of year dance and singing variety show in the Cork Opera House on an annual basis. Our students want to perform and we are constantly sourcing new avenues for them to do so. In addition we offer optional dance, drama and singing exams with accredited colleges in the UK and Ireland.
Ultimately we believe that every student should have the opportunity to be energetic, to gain confidence and to make friends whilst having lots of fun.
If you want to get your child involved in the performing arts in a fresh, encouraging and vibrant atmosphere, then the Montforts is the place for them! We hope you enjoy our website, all images featured are actual photos of our students performing.
